This depends on whether you want a baseline evaluation now, or whether you want to see how well you’ve learned the material later. Of course, a simulation can be used at any time during your preparation process for the USMLE board exams.
We designed our simulation tests to be created with “unused” questions that you’ve never seen before.
- For a full-test simulation, you'll need at least 280 unused questions.
- For a half-test simulation, you'll need 160 unused questions.
In order to ensure you have enough unused questions for a simulation, we recommend that simulations be created before any study is done in the Qmax in order to allow the system to create a truly random exam.
Once you have created simulated tests, you can suspend the simulated tests and take them later, after you’ve used the remaining questions to prepare.
