Flash Facts Cumulative Analysis provides a summary of how confident you are with the content you’ve reviewed. The performance data updates as you rate cards and helps track performance across topics and time.
Flash Facts Cumulative Analysis
From the USMLE-Rx dashboard, select the Cards icon in the sidebar, then choose Cumulative Analysis to get started.
At the top of the page, you’ll see:
Daily Performance: Confidence ratings for cards reviewed today
Overall Performance: Confidence ratings for all cards you’ve reviewed
Recent Activity: Number of cards rated over a selected time range (Today, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days), along with average time spent per card
Below the topline metrics, you can review performance by chapter to see confidence trends across content areas.
How Confidence Ratings Are Displayed
At least 30% of Flash Facts cards in a topic must be rated before a confidence color appears. Confidence color thresholds:
Blue – Fewer than 30% of cards rated
Red – 0–49% correct
Yellow – 50–74% correct
Green – 75–100% correct
Why Flash Facts Stats Change When Switching Years
When switching years in USMLE-Rx, you may notice changes in your Flash Facts confidence ratings and analytics. This happens because High-Yield Topics can change between years, and Flash Facts are mapped to those topics.
Some topics and cards exist only in specific years. Content that remains the same between years is mapped directly. New Flash Facts appear as unused content in the new year, while content that does not exist in both years is excluded from the previous year’s statistics.
