How to Use Rx Search

Rx Search helps you quickly find specific concepts across all USMLE-Rx resources. From your results you can: 

• Review related Bricks, High-Yield Topics, Qmax questions, Express Videos, and Flash Facts

• Create Qmax tests, Express Video playlists or Flash Facts decks based on the results
   

Getting Started

To access Rx Search, use the search field at the top of the page labeled “What do you want to learn?” and enter a concept or keyword.

 

Navigate Search Results

Search results are organized by study tool, and may include a definition when available. For example, searching for asthma displays related Bricks, Qmax questions, Express Videos, and Flash Facts in a single, organized view.

 

Create Study Sets from Search Results

From Rx Search results, actions are available at the study tool level. Click the study tool heading to create or add content based on the results:

• Qmax tests: Create a test using the questions returned in your search.

• Express Videos: Add videos to an existing playlist or create a new playlist.

• Flash Facts: Create a new Flash Facts deck from the search results.

To build Express Video playlists or Flash Facts decks from your search results, go to the headings for those tools and instead of Create Test, you will have the option to Create Playlist (for Express Videos) or Create Deck (for Flash Facts). For Express Videos, you can add the videos to an existing playlist or create a new playlist. For Flash Facts, you can only add the results to a new deck.

 

Search in Brick Exchange

The Brick Exchange includes a dedicated search tool designed to help you find Bricks. Unlike Rx Search in USMLE-Rx, results are limited to Bricks only.

Search results include Bricks, developed and published by ScholarRx, Community Bricks created by partner schools, organizations, and contributing authors, as well as Lists of Bricks relevant to your topic.
