How to Create Smart Notes

Smart Notes is a note-taking tool integrated with USMLE-Rx resources, including Rx Bricks, Qmax question banks, and Express Videos. 

You can create a Smart Note directly while studying in any USMLE-Rx resource.

• Select a word, phrase, or paragraph within the study content, and choose the Smart Note option from the pop-up menu.

• A note panel opens on the side of the screen, where you can add or edit text, and apply formatting such as bold or italics. 

• When viewing an Express Video, you can click on the Notes section in the upper right corner and add a new note.

Smart Notes created this way are saved automatically and can be managed later by selecting the Smart Notes icon (pencil icon) in the USMLE-Rx dashboard menu.
