Creating a Qmax test in USMLE-Rx is a simple process that lets you build tests tailored to your study needs.
Getting Started
From the USMLE-Rx Dashboard, go to the question icon for Qmax in the sidebar, then select Create Test.
Step 1: Test Settings
Use Test Settings to select which questions are included.
- Question Source: Choose whether the test pulls questions from Step 1 or Step 2 CK content.
- Question Difficulty: Select Easy, Medium, and/or Hard questions, difficulty level based on overall student performance.
- Question Status: Include Unused questions you have not seen before, Used questions that have appeared on previous tests, or both.
- Answer Status: Filter questions based on whether you previously answered them Correctly or Incorrectly.
- Mark Status: Include only questions you have flagged for review.
Step 2: Choose Questions
Select the content you want to include in your question set.
Step 1 Qmax
You can choose questions using one of two methods:
- Disciplines and Organ Systems
- High Yield Topics
Step 2 CK Qmax
Questions are selected using Disciplines and Organ Systems.
Step 3: Finalize Test
Complete your test setup.
- Test mode
- Tutor: Receive immediate feedback after selecting an answer. You may try again until you select the correct answer. The first answer selected is used for grading.
- Timed: Answer questions within a set time per question. Feedback is shown after the test is submitted, and the last answer selected is used for grading.
- Untimed: Same as Timed mode, but with no time limit per question. Feedback is shown after the test is submitted.
- Test name: If you opt not to name it, the system will automatically generate one for you.
- Number of questions: If you choose fewer questions than are available, the system will randomly pull questions from the set of available questions.
