When faculty assign a test, students are notified through email and platform notifications. These notifications help students identify assigned tests and manage submission deadlines. All faculty-assigned tests also appear in the My Tests section of the Student Dashboard.
Email Notifications
Students receive an email notification when a faculty member publishes a test. To help students to plan ahead, email notifications are sent 48 hours prior to the exam start date.
Emails include:
Test name
Test type
Start date and due date (if configured)
Please note email notifications are not resent if test settings change after publication.
Platform Notifications
Students also receive platform notifications when the test start date is reached. Platform notifications appear in the application header, and remain visible until the test is submitted.
Each platform notification includes:
Test name
Number of questions
Due date and time
Action button to launch the test directly
View Tests
Students can view all faculty-assigned tests from the Student Dashboard (USMLE-Rx) by selecting Qmax from the left-hand menu, then opening the View Tests page.
When a student selects the action button from a platform notification or opens a test from the View Tests page, the Get Started page for the selected test is displayed and they are able to take the test.
